“Two words – pretty stupid” (Quote from the article.)

That pretty much sums this up. Maybe 'OMG stupid'. Is "OMG" considered a word in our current lexicon?

US Representative Diana DeGette, a Denver, Colorado Democrat, identifies herself as the "prime House co-sponsor" for the proposed federal ban on so-called "high capacity magazines".

This "prime co-sponsor" thinks that firearms ammunition magazines are one-time-use ammunition and that their supply will "dramatically" dry up as people shoot them. Read it here in this article. More importantly, watch the embedded 3:29 video so you can hear her say it in the context of the question she was asked. That part of it starts at about 2:55, but listen to the whole thing. (The video cuts off before the response.)

Simply amazing... Unbelievable... 2nd Amendment supporters cannot make this stuff up. Fortunately, they don't even need to try because uninformed gun control advocates provide an ample supply of it.

Right, this monumentally uninformed gun control advocating politician and co-sponsor of a so-called "high capacity" magazine ban really meant "clips" when she said "magazines" (the absolute reverse of the overwhelming rhetoric from her kind) and was asked about her 'high capacity magazine ban' bill. And that's beside the point that clips, like magazines, are reusable.

Even their damage control spin doesn't come close to holding up. These people should NOT be governing anyone.

You should see and hear for yourself the equally outrageous response she gives to a senior citizen who expressed concern over their ability to change magazines quickly in the event of home invasion - "Good news for you, you live in Denver. The DPD would be there within minutes... You'd probably be dead anyway."
