After today's US Senate gun control failure, I wonder how this bill will do.
Why hasn't the media covered an NRA-endorsed bill that intends to strengthen (fix) the existing NICS background check system? And why do gun control advocates oppose it? Are they interested in "common sense solutions to keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them" or not?
Honestly, I haven't read this bill for myself. I've only come upon this one article that describes it.
Between this bill and their NRA-funded "School Shield" program, the NRA has so far lived up to its commitment to pursue effective solutions. It's too bad Congressmen are too interested in agenda and ideology instead of solving problems and pursuing agendas.
