I don't know what was in the gun trafficking amendment, S.Amdt.713, today that caused it to fail. It was the closest to passing of the 7 amendments considered, coming just 2 votes short.
On the subject of trafficking, I found this 7:19 interview to be both humorous and pertinent. Ted Nugent may be far out there, but he's not dumb. Too bad Eric Holder won't expose himself in similar fashion to try and defend himself.
I do credit Erin Burnett for a decent gun control interview on CNN. I'm not very familiar with her show, work or politics. From what I've seen, she and Anderson Cooper are okay - at least tolerable on the subject of gun control, as opposed to their co-worker, Piers Morgan, who has given up any claim he might ever have had to being a journalist. Morgan should consider registering as a lobbyist, but maybe as a foreign national he's not able to.
