Want to make your voice heard on gun control in Nevada? Governor Sandoval has opened up a phone line to solicit support and opposition numbers for SB 221 there. Call 775-684-5670 and vote #1 to support the bill or #2 to oppose it.
I recommend #2 OPPOSING it.
It appears to be open to calls even outside Nevada. (I don't know why he'd do that.) It's definitely hit the Internet. I've called the number myself and found several websites that encourage people to vote for and against this bill. People on both sides of the issue are calling and voting multiple times and from multiple states. I found a comment from one woman voting for gun control that claimed she voted 30 times.
I don't know how long this number will be collecting calls so don't delay. Call it now and every time you're not doing something productive while the number is still active.
Call 775-684-5670 and push #2 to OPPOSE more gun control in Nevada.
Here's an NRA article I found about SB 221: http://www.nraila.org/legislation/state-legislation/2013/5/nevada-antigun-group-attacks-governor-sandoval-on-sb-221.aspx

Thanks to all who called in their opinion regarding Nevada's SB 221.
Common sense prevailed in Nevada when Governor Brian Sandoval vetoed Nevada's gun control bill. The call-in campaign for interested citizens setup by the governor's office is mentioned in the article but the governor didn't mention its influence. He did mention that there were some good things in the bill, like those that dealt with mental health issues, but that he couldn't sign it while still attached to legislation that would burden law abiding citizens and their 2nd Amendment rights.
Gun control advocates really need to separate the good, the bad and the ugly (their ideology) when constructing and pushing these bills. We might actually get some good work done if they did but they're so determined to push their anti-gun agenda on others that they're losing even the good legislation in the process.

Talk about a landslide, the Reno Gazette-Journal is polling its readers about their support or disagreement of Governor Sandoval's recent veto of Nevada's background check gun control legislation. As of June 20th, there's MORE than 99% support for the veto with well more than 10,000 respondents. This isn't scientific but, wow!\
Good job, Governor, for not allowing Nevada to become another Colorado and caving in to feel-good, emotional appeals instead of the so-called "common sense" and "reason" that gun control advocates claim they're pushing.
