Missouri Considers Firearms CONFISCATION and Notifying Schools of Guns in the Home

February 17, 2013

This screams "invasion of privacy!" to me. What will they come up with next, forcing firearms registration and making those registries and records of concealed carry licensees public records? Oh, wait, they're already doing that in some places, aren't they?

"Another Democrat-sponsored bill proposed this year in the state General Assembly would require parents to notify their child’s school if they own a firearm."

I wonder if the bill's verbiage also requires the school administrators, faculty and staff to divulge to all parents whether there are firearms, drugs or alcohol in their homes; or whether they have any mentally ill or psycho family members, friends or past lovers; or if they've ever had an incident involving any kind of violence in their past; or whether they have child pornography on their computers or are in any way inclined to prey on school-aged children; or whether the priests associated with private schools have ever, in any way, been connected to the pedophile epidemic in the church. It's all about the safety of our children, right? Perhaps there should be annual licensing and background checks on the people we allow into our childrens' classrooms every day who have such a heavy influence over them. This is turning into a rant, so I'll stop.
