Marines Required to Remove Bolts from Rifles During Inaugural Parade

This is despicable. Did the Secret Service or local law enforcement have to render their firearms inoperable too? The Marine Corps should have withdrawn from the parade or marched without their M1 Garand ceremonial rifles rather than submit to this dishonor. Here we have uniformed Marines, under oath, being effectively disarmed.

While here we have an average citizen legally carrying his so-called (and mis-identified) "assault rifle" in President Obama's presence at a speech he gave. Did someone step in and force the removal of his rifle's bolt too?
