I'm sure a lot of veterans and firearms enthusiasts would have appreciated being able to obtain one of these military surplus M1 Garand or M1 Carbine rifles.

Republican US Representative Cynthia Lummis has introduced HR 2247, the "Collectible Firearms Protection Act", to ensure the State Department doesn't block the future import of US-made, war relic firearms back into our country where they are highly valued and prized for their historical significance.

Earlier this year a large supply of M1 Garand and M1 Carbine rifles were blocked even though the rifles are perfectly legal to own, sell, transfer, etc. in the US already. This was an administration decision that further upset law abiding firearms owners and collectors.
