Shooting Toy Guns Banned in York, South Carolina

May 7, 2013

We've all heard of the ridiculous and outdated laws still on the books throughout America. But, really, "discharging or shooting of toy guns on any of the streets of the city is prohibited" in York, South Carolina?

The article doesn't say how long this law has been around and the author admits to now knowing why it was passed. But it really needs to go, don't you think? Or, as speculated in the article, "could it be that it’s part of the effort of the left to make our children afraid of guns? An effort to make them part of the hate gun crowd so that they won’t want a Second Amendment right when they’re older?" Or are we somehow making people safer by banning the shooting of squirt guns, cap guns, dart guns, bb guns, pellet guns, airsoft guns, paintball guns, etc? Is the shooting of arrows also banned in York? I wonder.
