Petition to Deport Piers Morgan
December 21, 2012
Well, this is interesting. A demand for deportation of a British citizen for exercising the 1st Amendment to attack the 2nd Amendment. What would the petition be for if the offender was a US citizen?
I in no way condone Piers' behavior. I think his conduct was extremely unprofessional in 2 of his programs earlier this week in which he attacked his (pro gun rights / 2nd Amendment) guests aggressively with personal attacks, cut them off abruptly and refused to allow them to complete their arguments or even answer Piers' questions. And in 2 of the 3 clips I've included, his anti-gun advocates, including himself, outnumber the pro gun rights guests 3-or-more to 1. I don't know if he considers himself a journalist or an entertainer, but these shows were not journalism and they were not the "intelligent conversation" that people have been calling for.
I did not sign the petition. A petition to CNN to fire him or otherwise make him accountable for his behavior would be more appropriate.

Here's an example of an earlier, spirited debate with one of the same guests that does not resort in personal attacks. While Piers is clearly not an unbiased facilitator of the discussion, at least he's better behaved.
